~ Here’s a sampling of what you’ll find
in this 6 page section ~
- Aerosols: The propellants used in these products can be toxic to the heart and nervous system. Instead, if a spray is necessary, use only a pump dispenser and never buy aerosol cans!
- Beware of Toxic Cookware: Cooking with non-stick pans as well as aluminum pots/pans can be harmful to the body. They emit toxic fumes when heated. Seasoned cast iron, glassware or pure stainless steel cookware are best.
- Flea and Tick Control: The majority of pesticides used have not been adequately tested for human safety. When you put these products on your pet, they rub off on you and your family, exposing everyone to toxins. Instead find repellants that are 100% organic. You can also add brewer’s yeast into your pet’s diet to help repel fleas.
- Glass Cleaners: Glass cleaners emit ammonia mist which you breathe. Although ammonia is a poison, glass cleaning products do not carry a warning label. To handle this, first use rubbing alcohol to clean the residual from commercial glass cleaners. Then clean with a mixture of half vinegar and half water.
