- Lemon or baby oil removes water spots from metal shower door frames.
- Get rid of stubborn bathtub film by wiping it with full-strength white distilled vinegar and then scouring with baking soda.
- Spray shower doors with full-strength white distilled vinegar after you’ve squeegee’ed the glass, or before you step in and turn on the water. It will help release the hard water deposits so they don’t remain on the glass.
- To remove grime, mildew, and scum from the tub, tile, shower curtain or door, wipe with full-strength white distilled vinegar. Then rinse well with water.
- Clean shower door tracks by filling them with full-strength white distilled vinegar and letting it sit for a few hours. Pour hot water into the tracks then scrub away the scum with a toothbrush.
- When your shower curtains need cleaning, you can use full-strength white vinegar to wipe away soapy film, mildew and grimy buildup. Or simply place your shower curtain in a washing machine along with a bath towel. Add one cup of full-strength white distilled vinegar during the rinse cycle. Put your dryer on “air dry” and dry for 3 minutes.
- Clean and deodorize a bathroom drain by pouring in 1 cup baking soda, then one cup hot white distilled vinegar. Let this sit for 5 minutes or so, and then run hot water down the drain.
